Thomas Coffey is a member of the Lessons Learned Program of the Center for the Study of Intelligence. He specializes in the relationship of intelligence to policy. He is a former analyst in CIA’s Directorate of Intelligence.

Dr. Christopher D. Jones is an associate professor at the University of Washington’s Jackson School of International Studies. His teaching specializations include NATO/Warsaw Pact relations and post-Cold War security issues.

Stephen B. Slick was President George W. Bush’s intelligence advisor and senior director for intelligence programs and reform in the National Security Council during 2005-2009. He is a senior CIA officer.

David Waltrop has served as the deputy chief historian of the National Reconnaissance Office. He is currently an associate information review officer in the CIA’s Information Management Staff.
