On February 2, 2023, the Institute for the Study of Diplomacy at Georgetown University, an integral part of the Walsh School of Foreign Service, held the 2022 J. Raymond “Jit” Trainor Award for Excellence in the Conduct of Diplomacy in honor of the Director of the CIA, William J. Burns.
